Privacy Policy
Effective Date:
1. Overview
EGO ARENA does not require accounts or user registration. We do not collect directly identifiable personal data during Stone Flick (Alkkagi) or Gomoku (Omok) gameplay, and all matches are completely free to enjoy without logging in.
2. Information Processed Automatically
- Hosting Access Logs: To ensure reliable service and security, web hosting servers may temporarily log standard technical data (such as IP addresses and browser types).
3. Information Stored in Your Browser
EGO ARENA stores your Play Style results, Stone Flick and Gomoku game records (ranks, match history, achievements), and preferences (such as background music on/off) solely within your web browser's local storage, not on our servers.
- This data exists only to let you continue your progress on the same device and browser.
- No storage data is transmitted to external analytics or advertising trackers.
- Clearing your browser's site data or cache will reset your stored progress.
4. Information Processed via Inquiries
Only when you choose to reach out via our Contact Form, the following details are processed:
- Items: Name, reply email, subject, and message content
- Purpose: Reviewing and responding to your inquiry
- Processing & Retention: Securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS through Web3Forms (United States) and retained within the form account for 3 years before deletion.
- Consent: Providing consent is optional; declining simply restricts contact form submission without affecting your ability to play the game.
5. Advertising and Cookies
Currently: No advertising is operated on EGO ARENA, and we do not use cookies for advertising or user tracking.
Future Google AdSense Integration: If third-party advertising such as Google AdSense is introduced in the future, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or unique identifiers to serve and personalize advertisements. This policy will be updated with full details upon ad rollout.
- You can manage or disable personalized ads at any time via Google Ads Settings.
- To learn how Google manages data, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a consent dialog will be displayed upon ad rollout in accordance with privacy regulations and Google's certified CMP requirements.
6. Managing Cookies and Stored Data
You can inspect, clear, or block cookies and local site data at any time through your web browser's settings. Note that clearing local site data will reset saved game ranks, match records, and settings.
7. Contact
For questions, access, or deletion requests regarding your personal data, please reach out via our Contact Page. (To prevent spam, we process inquiries via the form rather than displaying raw email addresses on public pages.)
8. Policy Updates
If our services, legal requirements, or external processing environments change, this policy will be revised with an updated effective date. The effective date of this policy is October 17, 2026.
